LENOVO'S THINKPAD X1 CARBON!!

At CES 2014,the gadget giant Lenovo has revealed that the X1 Carbon and X1 Carbon Touch laptops are about to get upgraded.

X1 Carbon features a 14-inch display,thin as ever and it
includes better viewing angles and battery life(9hrs) compared with the previous one(6.3hrs).Weighing only 2.8 pounds,it is the lightest ultrabook till date and as the name goes,it is made of Carbon fibre.

It includes a 4th GEN Intel Core processor,8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage with an SSD drive.It also supports for its OneLink Connector which couples power,Gigabit Ethernet and Dual monitor support in single port.

It comes with an adaptive keyboard which dynamically raises the most relevant keys based on the application and is expected to have a starting price of US$1299.

LENOVO'S THINKPAD 8!!

Lenovo has also announced its 8.3-inch tablet called the ThinkPad 8 which runs on Windows 8.1 with a Intel quad core processor.

It includes 2GB RAM,upto 128GB of storage,an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP frontfacing camera and an optional 4G LTE support. Battery life is reported as 8hrs and the cost is expected to be at US$399.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 TO BE ANNOUNCED @ MWC 2K14!!

Samsung confirms the announcement date for its Galaxy S5!!

Samsung Electronics Vice President Dong-Hoon Chang has

confirmed that the Galaxy S5 will be officially announced at

the Mobile World Congress, to be held in Barcelona, Spain

next month.

Chang confirmed this at a New Year's party in Seoul,

South Korea.

He responded positively when he was asked by reporters

about speculation that an announcement about the

smartphone will be made at the 2014 MWC. But, keep in

mind that the above information can change until we get an

official announcement from Samsung.

He also revealed that a flexible display and new material like

metal is being considered for the smartphone .The flexible

display which was rumored for the Galaxy S5 is currently

under review, according to Chang, who also stated that he

would be surprised if one was featured on the handset at

launch.

A curved version also could end up being released after the

original model.

If your phone has a more recent version of Android,

Jelly Bean or later you can get a log of notifications that

have been pushed by various apps. Here is the method :

1) Go to your Android home screen and Tap the Apps icon.

2) Switch to the Widgets tab.

3) Tap and hold the 1×1 Settings Shortcut and place it on

your home screen.

4) Now select “Notifications” from the available choices.

5) Tap the settings icon that you have placed on the home

screen.

Now, it will display the notification history in reverse

chronological order.

You can know the name of the app that pushed the
notification, the title of the notification and the time when that
message was pushed.

You may also use the notifications shortcut to prevent

certain apps from sending notifications to your phone.

Just Tap the name of an App and DESELECT the option that

says “Show Notifications” from the App info page.

Even before the official CES 2014 start date, Acer has announced their new collection of gadgets which are about to be launched in 2014.

Acer started with the Acer Liquid Z5, a follow-up to their Liquid Z3. The new budget phone sports a

5″ FWVGA TFT display, powered by a 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 processor, Mali-400 graphics and runs Android 4.2 on 512MB of RAM.

A 2000mAh battery is also in charge, as well as a 5MP rear-facing camera, with an LED flash, VGA front camera, 4GB storage and a micro-SD port. Running on 3G HSPA+ networks, it will ship first to the UK, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the Ukraine.

Also, Acer has started their all-fruit diet, producing the all new Iconia A1-830, or basically a cheap iPad mini running Android. With a 7.9″ LED-backlit IPS display, a resolution of 1024 x 768, and a 4:3 screen,mostly it seems like a regular budget Android tablet.

In addition,there’s a nice 1GB of RAM, a slightly sluggish 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor, with ‘Hyper-Threading technology’, 16GB of storage with micro-SD card support, and a 7.5 hour battery.

But make sure you are keen before you go tablet shopping next, because this thing is basically an iPad mini on the outside. An aluminum backside is joined by a regular glass front, with a webcam center aligned.......

but it’s clear that Acer is not unintentionally replicating the iPad mini design. Every single detail, right down to the antenna cutout on the back, is a perfect CLONE of the iPad mini,but it costs a lot less ($149) and doesn’t have an LTE model.

An even more economic thingis the B1-720, which looks more like a typical budget Acer tablet with a 7″ screen,1.3 GHz processor, 5 hour battery, and 1GB of RAM.
